I’ve been thinking about a lot of things lately, first of all life in general, and a few thoughts kept nagging. I guess, one starts to re-examine what and how corona virus started circulating in the community and assessed its potential impact… This newly formed situation, brings that unrest; what could have been happened, but it didn’t. I made at least a thousand idiotic (mis)assumptions based from subconscious biases. We can’t doubt the idea that the very clever can also be very silly. I’m not a motivational speaker nor do I like those things, but there are so many things that are almost beyond anybody’s control that can totally mess your chance up… Or there might… Some days I wonder what the hell I’m doing, why I’m making my life so hard… Obviously, to breakthrough my own monotony. Everyone has had to abruptly adapt to “new normal”, and my initial though was attached to me, that now, more than ever, people had no respect for each other, in general.
I guess people who are self-centered can’t behave any differently. Everyone is a wolf to everyone and everyone is almost looking to humiliate the other. I am certainly not a person who look at the world through so called rose tinted glasses, in fact just the opposite, as I always like to highlight my state of mind, rose-tinted glasses…whose lenses are broken and driven into your eyes, nevertheless I love to see people respected and appreciated. A simple equation would be “If someone doesn’t respect you, they certainly can’t love you.” And that’s how it goes. You can always see that a lack of respect means a lack of love. LISTENING AS THE BASIS OF EVERY CONVERSATION There are less and less people who know how and want to listen, everyone thinks that they are the smartest and that only what they do is meaningful and important. For others, it is not worth listening to. It may seem like a small thing to some, but it is a big deal to others. We should learn to listen to the other, to be able to understand what that person wants to tell us. One-way communication hurts and I personally lose all interest in continuing the conversation. And that just feels like a big waste of time. In addition to listening, it seems to me that we are lost as human beings. There are few who are empathetic, you know it’s not IN. What is IN is to pretend some level, attitude and make everyone think you, so sublime in the clouds, are extremely cool. The more conceited, the better, people will respect you more, because that is strength. And, if you show empathy, that you have a heart and a soul, then you are a weakling and everyone will trample you with the words: "Oh, what a wonderful person that is." Uuhh, isn’t that sarcasm. People seem to turn their heads when important things occur, because people don't want to see and realize certain things. Desertification is on such a great rise, that I sometimes wonder why? Do people ever wonder in their lives that they too can only find themselves in similar situations? They don't seem to have time. Maybe it’s a flaw, maybe it’s not, but when I listen to people I always like to know both sides. From the person I hear from and the other person he tells me about. I always wonder and always think of all the parties involved in the story. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm on the other side, if I ask about that side. It just means if I am involved in the conversation and in ongoing story, well then I want to know everything. Nothing more, not less. Comments are closed.
