Portion Reform |Migrants: A manifestation of non "respectful" behaviour. (On behalf of whom?)

We all have our little Zen zone of the day, when we try to disconnect from the daily drill through the working hours for at least 20 minutes. 
I have personally found my small oasis in one boutique kiosk in the main street of Nicosia, in Makarios Avenue, where I enjoy a cup of ice coffee, while peeking at my little black MAC bag with some new nude lipstick content. And while the ritual begins, brain unwinding, a dose of daydreaming, slightly all descending into another level of relaxed consciousness….

​Abruptly and rudely interrupted by the daily bunch of migrant crowd, supposedly students. if that’s the case then can someone please explain how’s that behavior is possible, since you are a "scholar"?

Combined with the extreme shouting, an uncivil and unpleasant as well as provocative behavior comes to color my “oasis” moments. Mind you, had it been just a crowd of students having fun and enjoying their youth, I would turn around and hide a sly grinning smile, while thinking…” Girl, these were good times! Miss them sometimes…”

But them…no! Even my headphones can barely cope with the intensity of their loud voices, beer drinking while walking down the street, enough to burst your eardrums. For a person like me, who incidentally is not a Cypriot and who comes from relatively “cold Scandinavian blood” regions, even the Mediterranean sensibility can sometimes be way too much. But I am respectfully embracing the Cypriot culture and way of life, simply because this country has welcomed me and at the same time is offering me so much. 

But here we are,  certainly not handling cultural differences, but clearly the lack of culture, combined with a complete lack of respect to the people around them.

This situationalmost feels like an invasion! One country that hosts you, provides you material and financial help, (part of which is provided from pension funds of hard working Cypriots), does NOT really need this sort of behavior. And its not only the shouting, the drinking and the "I am an innocent immigrant, thus I do what I like" attitude, which is the problem. It's the "stand out" manifestation of “COMPLETE ABSENCE OF RESPECT” (from a large group of "immigrants/migrants") to the cultural ethics and beliefs of the hosting country; in this case, Cyprus.

​And, please, do not seek for any hidden "racist" idas and beliefs. This is a purely subjective as well as factualised and documented observation of specific instances, that unfortunately, a lot of Cypriot citizens are experiencing on a daily basis.
